Washington hosts Carolina on Monday Night Football

December 19, 2016

The Washington Redskins are hanging on to a lead by percentage points due to their tie over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers for the 6th and final playoff spot in the NFC. A win tonight would extend that lead to a half game with just 2 weeks to play, and they’ll need that cushion with a game against the 10-4 Giants looming in week 17. NFL experts are expecting Washington to win this showdown with the reeling Carolina Panthers easily, but as we’ve seen all season long…..anything...

Kansas City hosts Raiders Thursday Night

December 8, 2016

Two of the hottest teams in the NFL reside in the AFC West and will be going head to head tonight in a game that could determine who wins the Division. The 9-3 Kansas City Chiefs will host an Oakland Raiders squad that hasn’t lost a game since they faced KC seven weeks ago. Beating the Raiders has been hard period. Beating them in the “Black Hole” says a lot about how far this Chiefs team has come this season. Football experts have Kansas City favored by 3 at Arrowhead Stadium, but Oakland...

Cowboys host Redskins Thanksgiving Day

November 24, 2016

What the Dallas Cowboys are doing with a rookie quarterback is remarkable. After an opening game loss against the Giants, the ‘Boys have rattled off 9 consecutive wins on their way to the best record in football. NFL experts had the NFC East race being close with no team running away with it. The over/under on Dallas wins this season was set at 9.5 and with a win today against the Washington Redskins, they could surpass that mark. No one would’ve imagined that the Cowboys offense would be this...

Steelers look to stop Red Hot Cowboys

November 13, 2016

This is far and away the most competitive week in the NFL this season. Nine of the eleven games being played on Sunday have point spreads of 3 or less based on lines set by football handicappers. Nearly all of them have playoff implications, but the showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys carries the most interest due to the size of their fan base. The Cowboys have exceeded everyone’s expectations despite being listed as one of the favorites to win the NFC East. Those predictions...

Ravens might be tested by Winless Browns

November 10, 2016

What looks to be another Thursday night stinker in the NFL has the potential to be much closer than anticipated. The Cleveland Browns are the worst team in the league with an 0-9 record, but they have had moments when they have some a resemblance of an offense. Football experts didn’t expect much out of this squad prior to the start of the season as they predicted them to finish dead last in the AFC North. This is a certainty at this point. However, a team that has nothing to lose can be dangerous...

Titans host Jaguars in AFC South Battle

October 27, 2016

The National Football League has not fared well this year in terms of ratings. They’ve been down across the board and many believe it has to do with the Presidential Election, but “bad football” should be considered the main contributor. Prime Time games have made it even tougher for the NFL to gain any momentum as most of them have either been blowouts or as we saw Sunday night……a tie! Thursday’s AFC South battle between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans has all of the qualities...

Broncos battle Texans in AFC Showdown

October 24, 2016

After a 4-0 start with rookie QB Trevor Siemian at the helm of the offense, the Denver Broncos have lost consecutive games and are in desperate need to get back on track. A home game against the Houston Texans seems like the perfect scenario to do so, but QB Brock Osweiler is beginning to look like he’s coming into his own under center. NFL experts do not feel the same way as they have listed the Broncos as healthy 8 point favorites. Denver has the edge in nearly every statistical category, but...

Vikings battle Giants Monday Night

October 3, 2016

Based on the preseason predictions made by football experts, the one team that has surprised everyone through the first 3 weeks is easily the Minnesota Vikings. Minny is one of those teams that has been on the cusp of being a factor and a playoff contender for a couple years. If not for a missed chip-shot field goal in their Wild Card match-up with the Seattle Seahawks, this squad could’ve easily made a run at the NFC Conference Championship. It looked as though everything was falling apart for...

Steelers face tough Eagles team in Philadelphia

September 25, 2016

We see it every season, yet the betting public never seems to learn its lesson. Good teams get out to fast starts and the average “Joe” continues to ride them assuming that the entire 16 game schedule will be a walk in the park. Not so fast! The Pittsburgh Steelers were expected to win the AFC North easily and contend for a Super Bowl with the high octane offense they have in place. So far, so good as they have won their first 2 games by an average of 15 points per game. However, they will be...

Bears host Eagles Monday Night

September 19, 2016

If week 2 of the NFL season teaches us anything it’s that we shouldn’t put too much into what happened in week 1. The Lions looked great against Indy on the road, and laid an egg at home versus Tennessee. Seattle struggled in their home opener, but were expected to bounce back against a Rams squad that could muster a single point against San Fran last Monday night. Instead, Wilson and company head home losers as the Los Angeles defense held them to just a field goal and a combined 67 yards rushing....
